Basic oven meets needs

I have only had this oven for a few weeks now and so far it is working fine. It is very basic with no frills (which is what I wanted). It does seem to take longer to bake than my previous oven (a Kenmore), so I might get an oven thermometer to check the temperature. One con that I have noticed - there is a high pitched sort of whining noise coming from the oven constantly. I believe it is from the electronic panel which makes me nervous. I can ignore it most of the time, but it is kind of annoying. We will see how long this oven lasts! My old Kenmore lasted 20 years!

I bought this stove as an upgrade to the old dirty one that came with the home I purchased. I didn™€™t want to spend a lot because I don™€™t plan to live here forever but I did want something more updated looking. It seems to cook pretty well compared to the uneven burners I was used to cooking on. One of my complaints is that the stainless steel parts get very hot while using the oven, including the knobs. The drawer on the bottom feels flimsy and cheap so I™€™ll be careful with that. Overall it™€™s a decent purchase. It looks modern and gets the job done.

My new range is a dream! Very stylish with 5 burners and we use them all! We cook for 15 people at our shore house and now we don™€™t have to wait for another part of the meal is finished to cook the last part of it. Cleanup is a breeze with the new oven steam clean system. I wish I had purchased it sooner, I don™€™t know how we have gotten along with iout it for all these years!

The stovetop is great, it heats evenly and quickly. The oven also heats evenly but if you don™€™t keep it perfectly clean it will be smokey when you preheat the oven. Overall works well and is efficient.

We have purchased three electric ranges in the past 5 years to find one that will cool the burners fast enough to permit moving from "Boil" to "Simmer" in a reasonable amount of time. Hooray! Frigidaire has done it. The burners heat fast and cool fast what a break through. Other feature we like is the control arrangement, which are on the front of the unit, so a person does not have to reach over the burners to control the range. As information the Frigidaire cost was half as much as two previous ranges cost.

The gap / opening between the range and backing seems a little excessive. The knobs are too easily turned- have to be very careful when I goto get something from my cabinet because my hip has turned on the range without me noticing more than once. One time it happened and I had plastic on the top. Ugh that was not good
