Have gone through three on auto- delivery as I forget and neglected to cancel. Thought the first one may have been defective. None of the three dispense water more than a trickle. Why would you change what worked??

This water filter was easy to install even for someone like me who is not very handy. The hardest part is getting down on the floor to get under the sink and around the pipe. I am in city water and it tastes and smells bad. We drink water right out of the tap now and refill our own bottles to put in the fridge. The smell is completely gone.

No more bottled water at my house! Installed this bad boy in the kitchen today and now I have clean safe and pure water. No aftertaste and no impurities whatsoever. Removes all the metals in tap water and it was super easy to install. No clogging this go around and no issues whatsover. Very satisfied.

I always grew up hating my parent's well water, it always had a funny taste to it and it even affected the ice. I got this for my parents thinking it was a long shot but it made a big difference in the taste! No more buying large jugs of water, the water no longer had an awful after-taste! If you think your water is off or doesn't taste great I would recommend this for you!

Super easy to install. Directions are clear and easy to follow. Purifies water to allow for a clear water and a great tasting water. I love having fresh drinkable water straight out of my fridge whenever I need. My other family members have also notified a great change in our water quality out of the fridge and how much better the water tastes.

I haven't used this replacement filter yet but it's always good to have one on hand when needed. The filtration system works well and helps clean the water. It tastes better and I find myself primarily drinking tap water now instead of bottled waters.

I cannot say enough about the system itself, it's awesome for the money. This REPLACEMENT WATER FILTER - UNDERSINK OR INLINE SYSTEMS is easy to install and I believe this will last me for a good 3-6 months. Gets all the coodys out of my water and swaps out in seconds! I highly recommend system and replacement filter. Haven't had any leak issues!

I unfortunately did not read reviews on this filter before purchasing it. It is a replacement for the original filter # GXRLQR. As noted by others the filter clogged immediately after installation and would not permit water flow. The GXRLQR filter I replaced was working fine, and an aftermarket filter purchased also works fine. The 30 day interval since purchase has passed, and so now I am stuck with 2 of these defective filters. Do yourself a favor and don't buy one. GE knows of the defect, and won't correct it nor stand behind their product. Shame on that company!

This is the second filter we have purchased for our kitchen he water filtration system under sink. First one gave low water pressure and groaning. This one is leaking as wall as low water pressure despite being installed per installation instructions. My father just purchased the new GE replacement filter that replaced the GXRLQR filter. Wish I had the read all these reviews first! There is only two flow holes in the new one where the old one has holes around the entire top. The new filter barley trickles out. we thought something was wrong so replaced with the old and no issues. reinstalled the new filter and ran it 15 minutes.... still just above a trickle. My father is understandably upset at having spent the high cost and already two trips to the store. He said he should just have bought the competitors new faucet filter system that came with two cartridges for the $20 more than this filter cost. This was two days ago. (for future reference -we are in the second full week of Corona virus pandemic and my father is in the high risk cat. so he should not have made two trips.) I will be returning this product to the store and hoping there is stock for the other faucet system. Having now read all the past reviews that are over a year old, I am highly disappointed that GE was aware of this issue and refused to fix the issue. Our Family has always been brand loyal and own countless GE products between my parents home and the residences of all my siblings. I expected better from this company. I hope they do better in the future. for now we will be returning this product and purchasing a competitors brand.

I picked up my replacement filter from Home Depot snapped it in and ran 6 gallons of water through the new filter just to make sure that it was fully primed. Filled a clear glass up and it was clear and clean. No issues.

For years I have purchased the GXRLQR until GE made a replacment with FQK1K. This was my first time with the new GE replacement and I don't know why, but the water is a hazy white color despite having run the filter for 10 minutes as recommended by the enclosed instructions. The white disappears within a minute, but I never had this problem before with GXRLQR. I am disturbed by the fact that my filtered water is coming out anything less than crystal clear, which is what I am used to. Will be calling GE to discuss.
