The performance of this water heater is extraordinary compared to our old (different brand) water heater. The GE has plenty of hot water storage and maintains hot water during periods of high demand. Highly recommend this GE water heater for anyone that uses hot water in great demand.

Hot water was delivered at 8 am by Nebraska Furniture Mart. I had a plumber install it at 2 pm only to discover it was leaking at the factory element. I called NFM only to be told to call GE.

Went from a 40 gallon to a 50 gallon. Am able to take longer hot showers without the temperature of the water getting cooler after a period of time.

It was just installed today so it™™s hard to rate it already but I will say that it heated the first tank of water very quickly. I took a hot shower within an hour of starting up the new water heater!

Installed this water heater in early Feb 2024. My water heater service provider just started selling and installing this electric GE 50 gal water heater so they had no customer feedback on its reliability, performance, etc. I decided to take a chance on it because of the 10 year warranty and so far I am not impressed.. I have the temperature now set at 130F--started at 120F, then 125F-- and it still doesn't provide real hot water. I am going to bump it up to 135F and see if there's an improvement. It also seems to take longer to get hot water at the faucets compared to our old one. Also, going to call my water heater provider and give him feedback that it is a so-so water heater.

After reading reviews for other brands we decided to go with a simple Hot Water Heater without the Bluetooth bells and whistles. We installed the Water Heater about 2 weeks ago, so far it is working perfectly, no issues. We are a household of 7 and this Water Heater has no problem accommodating the amount of showers daily.

Very nice how GE included all of the external fittings and electrical connectors required for installing this Hot water tank. Planning for and installation was so much easier. Very simple, easily read instructions with illustrations. Just installed today but we had hot water in no time and hopefully we're as pleased with this purchase as we have been with several other GE appliances as we upgrade.

Constant issues with consistent water temperatures. Once adjusted, I have to have the elements adjusted to a higher temp that seems unsafe, but the water is at a decent temp.

My 15 year old GE water tank randomly broke 2 weeks ago thanks to my old pipes in my historic house. I searched to purchase a new one online but reviews were horrible for the ones at the big department stores. Disappointingly, Home Depot, nor Lowes no longer carries GE electric water tanks, so I came across this 50 gallon GE electric tank on the Total Home Supply Store website for roughly $600. And the best part of it was that I was able to use the service "Affirm" and am paying monthly payments for it until it's paid off. Being a single mother whose financially struggling to keep up, this was literally a god send!
My tank was delivered in one week and I had a friend set it up for me. The hardest part was just draining out the old tank, which wasn't hard at all, just time consuming. This new GE tank is actually bigger then my old one too, the connections are so simple that anyone can figure them out. I'm hoping to get a good 10-15 years out of this one. We shall see! Best part of it all though, I finally have HOT water again! Haha.
A BIG Thanks to GE for all the reliable appliances you've provided my family throughout the years. Being born and raised in Boston, Mass I can say that GE is a company I feel proud to stand behind and will never purchase a different brand of appliances!
