Red Button disaster

Had one for four years, but the red pressure relief button broke after changing the filter. Water was pouring out. Got a new one at Home Depot, but it comes with the red button unassembled - AND THERE IS NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL THE RED BUTTON! Worthless. Went with another brand that uses the exact same filter and is easier to change.

Relief button leaking after 1st filter change

Poor quality and very disappointed. The red relief button used to relieve water pressure leaked the first time I pressed it. No matter what you do to attempt to stop the leak, it will constantly blow water out and around the button.

Bypass valve came out on 2nd cartridge change

Bought the gxwh20s water filter from home depot. The 2nd time I replaced the cartridge the valve shot out the end. This is a horrible design. I could not see what was holding the valve in the head. I checked the reviews and this is common. I am on well water with on off set at 40 and 60 psi. T

Never had a problem

After a flooded basement due to a bad pressure tank bladder. It broke one of my old filters that were 30 years old. I had a plumber install 3 of these in line. The first is off of the well, a 5 micron filter. After the water softner there are 2 taste and oder filters. These were installed in 2007 and I only have a problem when I don't position the O ring correctly while changing the filters. I change all the filters every 2-3 months. I make sure I bleed off any air in the lines after installation at all the filters and at the faucet.

Canister Cracked Basement Flooded

This Morning I awoke to my water alarm in the basement ....the canister is CRACKED in a linear fashion in several locations....Basement is flooded. Carpets ruined. We change filter every six months. Now I need a new canister but I do not see a canister listed in parts...

And leaks worse with every subsequent filter change. Reading the reviews, I should have seen this coming. I have several GE appliances that are really good; this filter system is a big disappointment!
