Love the basic stove features not a lot of bells and whistles. Reasonably priced. Fast pre-heat, The only feature I may have a problem with, will be the broiler location being in the very bottom. I™™m getting along in age and think that could be a problem. Thank you.

JGBS60DEKWW - I was disappointed that the product description regarding the broiler was misleading. The product says the broiler is in the oven. That is not true. It is in the separate bottom drawer, so low to the floor it is virtually unusable. The timer and oven start beeper is so quiet that it can only be heard if you are in the same room, and there is no volume control. Also, timer keeps beeping until it is turned off, no quick 5 beeps and stop. Oven works great, oven temp is even and well calibrated. Burners ignite quickly & easily, but make sure to watch when extinguishing to make sure they are turned off all the way. Pans sit well, but a tad higher than my older GE stove, so seems to cook a bit slower. A good basic no frills unit but wish I had the opportunity to view and inspect it (ordered online) before ordering. Because of the misleading info re the broiler, I would have ordered another model.

Delivery was great.
The description of the gas stove said it was delivered set up to use propane. It only had the propane kit included. The directions to install the propane valve for the oven was terrible. I ended up removing half of the guts in the stove to find a way to get to the natural gas valve. One sentence added to the directions could have covered how to get to the valve.

The broiler on the bottom and almost to the floor is very dumb. I didn't realize they still did that. I thought they were all in the oven part now. I ordered this for my 90 year old father and I don't want him using the broiler because I don't want him bending over to use it as it's almost on the floor and he could lose his balance, get dizzy, hit his head coming up, etc. It's a bad feature. Other than that, it's fine. Just the design is not good.

My overall experience was excellent. The online purchase was smooth and seamless. I accidentally added a second delivery fee, which was refunded without me even knowing. The oven was delivered in excellent condition. The installer verified everything was included and installed properly. This range is the same style of GE range we previously had for over 25 years.

I had one almost identical to this, and I believe it was in the house since 2001. The burner knobs would turn on if leaning to close to the stove. The gas was accidentally turned on and filled the house . I tested these knobs before buying. But will return if I have that problem again.

Only one week of use has told me that I made the right decision with this GE stove. I'm having to learn some things about setting the temperatures for the oven, but I'm getting there. The controls for the burners are easy to handle and so far I love my new stove.

Love it. Not too big not too small. Perfect for a 3 bedroom apartment. I love how simple the oven is to use. Fit a 60lb turkey at a breeze. The burner is simple, turn all the way to ignite and turn it down by counter clockwise. Easy to clean, but the door could use a stopper. It slam loud sometimes. The buttons are self explanatory. Push and Easy timer set up.

My greatest disappointment is that our new GE gas range came with a bent burner grate. Our salesman has been trying to get us a replacement, but GE won't send one because the store only deals in appliances and not parts. The other disappointment is that the stove top gets so hot when the oven is on that our cool touch handles on our pans get so hot we have to pick them up with pot holders or get burned. It's a very nice looking stove. The oven preheats quickly, which we really like. The controls are nicely located and easy to use. We love the size of the oven. Would I buy it again? Been waiting a month for the burner grate replacement, so probably not.

My GE gas range is exactly what I needed! It is full size for family feasts, the burner style makes for easy clean up in a jiffy and the oven is easy to view with a large window. The controls are intuitive even allowing my husband to tackle on his own!

This appliance is a basic range and is exactly what I was looking for. The oven temperature is accurate so far. The burners light well but do not like that I have to turn them all the way on to get them to light. Burner grates are very lightweight compared to other ranges. The panel with the controls is easy to understand. Decent range for the price.

Beautiful 4 burner gas stove! It's the perfect size for the my wife's kitchen. All the controls are right there in front, and the oven lights right up easily. Exactly what we needed, to replace an old, ancient, "old school" Tappan gas range that has seen better days.

Sadly had to say goodbye to the wonderful, durable Maytag of thirty years. Decided on GE with very similar design ™" don™™t need bells and whistles. Three stars because the plastic knobs are cheap and it doesn™™t seem to heat as well. Clock light is way too bright!!
Also, I spent $800+ and GE can™™t include instructions on the digital oven settings? They aren™™t all that intuitive and I don™™t have a way to print them nor should I have to. No doubt all the big company brands are doing that but it is a nuisance when an easy to use card would suffice.

Close to my old gas range which was a GE Spectrum product, but not close enough. Controls aren't as detailed on the knobs and the ignition is counterintuitive - you have to turn the knobs to the bottom and then move upwards to control the flame. Biggest issue is THERE ARE NO DRIP PANS for under the grills and you can't even buy them as a separate part. This will be troublesome for cleaning as I used to beable to take the whole drip pan to the sink to scrub. Not pleased with this model.

I just purchase an oven from Lowe™™s not even 30 days ago, I™™m so disappointed, I purchase Jgbs60dek9ww base on positive consumer reports. I was excited to use the oven this weekend only to find that this unit over heats the outside. You can barely touch it. The whole exterior is hot to the touch. Unfortunately Lowe™™s doesn™™t not take appliance returns after 48 hours. I work hard to save money it was my first oven purchase in 20yrs. This a danger to families with small children. This stove/oven is reminiscent to the ovens back in the 70™™s. Truly disappoint and feel this should be a correction on Ge™™s part.

I do not like the stove for several reasons:
1. The broiler is a separate unit and is not in the oven, which I have never seen before. You actually have to get down on your knees to use it. This is a terrible feature for an older person.
2. Regardless of how low you turn the knobs on the burners nothing will simmer, it only boils. I have to watch everything I cook very closely.
3. The very top of the stove is rounded so the salt and pepper shakers can't be set on it.
4. The clock light is so bright it can't be used, as it lights up the entire kitchen at nighttime.
I would never buy this stove again and would not recommend it to anyone.
