Disappointed with GE

After decades of using GE products in all our past homes. We purchased a brand new build home & within the 1st 6 months the Start button stopped working, light didn't work and poor ventilation. Builder kept giving us the runaround. GE said warranty expired. The only thing that worked was the express numbers, timer, clock and Convenience Cooking buttons. Then the express numbers stopped working and neither the BUILDER nor GE CARE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT without us PAYING OUT OF POCKET to FIX or REPLACE!!!
I would have given ZERO stars if it was an option, instead of ONE!!!
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT NOT EVEN TO MY WORST ENEMY!!! DON'T BUY!!!

Delivery was expedited a week earlier which was the best news ever for my family and I since we had been without a microwave for a few months. The Appliance Installation Experts were phenomenal, efficient and professional with our installationand questions.

It vents well, and if it is like the other over the stove microwave we had at our last house that we left in March of 2026 it was marked 2003 I know we'll have a good one. We used it everyday

I was expecting an 1100 watt microwave, but the house only came with the 950 watt model. However, it works well. My issue is does this microwave come with a filter above when it vents?? Because i don't feel a filter back there.

Stopped heating in less than 1 year. Contacted GE but they won™™t service as my builder purchased in November & warranty began at that time not when I moved into the home in late December. Didn™™t even use for one year and it is worthless. Won™™t purchase another GE.

This microwave has no issues getting your food hot quick. fast and in a hurry. The family loves to be able to heat their food quickly when they are hungry/starving, especially the kids. I look at this quickness as a way to save energy.

Works great, my Fridgadair that came with stove broke after 7 years and could not be repaired so replaced with a GE as always had goo experiences with brand and so far it is fine although only have had a few weeks! Hope it lives up to it longtime reputation!

It lasted less than 2 years and of course GE's warranty is only one year. I tried to get a repair tech to come out and he used the excuse that he couldn't verify my address in order not to come. Certainly will not be buying any new GE products in he future.

Microwave was working great but then the door wouldn't close properly without pushing in on the top of the door. Now the bottome door hinge has come a part. A service call to GE is required after only 2 weeks of use.

I used a different microwave in the past and I didn't realize that this one requires a specific way to shut the door. The turntable was spinning so I thought it was working but it's not, it's not heating up the food. Now, no matter how we close the door, it stopped working. Very frustrating that this only lasted a few years. Not recommended.

This microwave has had issues from the start. Within the first 6 months the display numbers started flashing and shorting out. You couldn™™t read the numbers as you typed them in and as they counted down. Impossible to tell what time was in the clock. That™™s annoying but not a huge issue. Well, just the other day my daughter made some pop corn and it suddenly stopped working when she put in some butter to melt. It ran but the butter didn™™t meet and the microwave was making a labored sound. So then I tried to just heat some water to see what was wrong. With that it sounded like the electronics shorted from inside the microwave and sounded unsafe to attempt to use it anymore. So now the microwave is fried. The biggest disappointment is when you set up a service appointment you will be paying $144 just to have someone come to tell you what™™s wrong with it, pay more for the parts and probably just end up needing a new one anyway. Oh well, such is the quality of modern appliances. Made cheaply to be replaced rather than repaired.
