Wow this drawer fell apart and I can't believe it costs so much when it's so cheaply made. I think I'll look at other brands next time.

Broke within a year. Been dealing with it for a few years as it started as a crack. Now the handle portion is pretty much off. Charging $185 is enough to just go buy a new refrigerator as over time this could end up costing a new refrigerator anyway. This part should be half the price.

I have to agree with other posts on here. The plastic bins are cheaply made and break easily. I was shocked at how much you were asking for a bottom meat been. Outrageous to charge so much.

Broken parts after few years

I had my fridge maybe for four or five years. The parts started breaking and falling apart within few months of purchase. First the ice maker stopped and now both the meat and fruit basket are broken. As a matter of fact I taped them for few years and now they are completely in pieces. Great looking fridge but cheap plastic.

Refrigerator has been great, but bottom (vegetable) drawer broke with normal use. The sides holding the drawer on the drawer slide both cracked as shown in other reviews...expensive to replace. Have not had this happen with other GE refrigerators.

The lower drawer has cracked on both sides with normal family usage. The seals, humidity control slider and plastic shelf frame also cracked and failed.

Wish I had read these reviews about the drawers. Ours broke too. It's almost $175 to replace. Based on reviews the replacement will likely break. Overall the refrigerator is good space-wise.

This bin is just another cr@ppy part to a completely cr@ppy refrigertor. We;ve had this refrigerator for 4 years. During that time, we have replaced the led lights in the freezer TWICE. We paid extra for led lights because they were supposed to last longer. HA! And how many people does it take to replace the led lights on a GE refrigerator? 0 because you have to pay a GE technician to come and do it, at a a cost of over $300 for the service call and the light board. Then 3 months ago, the main board went out. SO, another service call and $250 for a new board for over $500 worth of repairs. During these 4 years, every single "bin" has broken. We thought we would replace the worse one, the meat bin, and find that they want over $200 for it and it is the exact same cr@ppy quality as the one that broke. We are really ready to just throw this piece of cr@p out, lick our wounds, and buy a new refrigerator. You can be assured, it won't be a GE. Nor will any of our future appliances. (So a one star is WAY generous!)

It's remarkable that GE can have a product this bad, that fails this consistently, and has not yet been recalled. I agree with the other reviews I just read. We love our refrigerator, and were terribly disappointed when our drawer broke. (We had previously replaced a shelf inside the freezer door as well as the ice maker and the filter assembly and tube). I was shocked at the cost of the drawer! Who can afford a drawer that costs almost 130.00. I will have to try and use duct tape. No one on a fixed income of Social Security can afford an 130.00 drawer. Disappointed in GE.

We really like our refrigerator but the bottom drawer broke with normal use within a few months of purchase. I understand that there are costs in producing, etc this replacement part, but when it breaks so quickly, shouldn't GE give the customer a break since this appears to be a design flaw.

This is garbage. Ge has lost my business just based on this refrigerator. Over 300 bucks to replace parts broken in refrigerator section. A drawer 127.00 is outrageous. Shame on you GE for price gouging in a product you made cheap to begin with that should have lasted longer than 4 years.

The bottom drawer cracked with normal family use due to flimsy material. I wish I had read the reviews about the bottom drawer frequently cracking prior to purchasing the refrigerator. This is an expensive part to replace at $128.00.

First time I had a refrigerator where the drawer breaks. To make matters worse, I have a 5 yr warranty from the store of purchase and am told that this part is an accessory and is not covered. This means this comes out my pocket. I've read reviews where these drawers breaks frequently.

Very cheaply made using very thin plastic. The white plastic frame holding the clear plastic front piece broke and you have to purshase the entire bin for $127.00, which is "OUT OF STOCK." You should be able to purchase the frame itself as it is a separate piece.

We originally bought this refrigerator Jan,2016. Within two months we had to have it replaced as it kept leaking. Since then it has worked flawlessly with the exception of this broken tray for the past few months . Additionally, the gasket for the tray above always falls out since day one. A loyal fan of GE appliances no more.
