Lasted 2 weeks after the 5year warrenty expired

I bought this fridge 5 years and 2 months ago. The class action lawsuit extended the warranty to 5 years. Two months later it died The fridge was made in Mexico. This will be my last LG product. Customer service is off-shore and very hard to understand. Rather than work with them to fix it replace condenser I decided to buy a better product made in the USA.

Bought the in Feb.2019. 1 year the compressor went out..1 year later second compressor went out. When they replaced thar compressor they replaced the ice maker and condenser coils..A year later they replaced the blower motor and fan in the freezer..Now Feb 2023 the freezer is not freezing again..and not making any ice.

Disappointed with LG Fridge LSXS26326S

I bought this refrigerator about 4 1/2 years ago with a 5 yr. extended warranty. Within a few months I started having ice maker issues and would only work if freezer temperature was set at 4 degrees. Then a little over 4 yrs. it stopped cooling both freezer and refrigerator lost all my frozen food and refrigerated food. I started a repair request and had to wait almost 3 weeks for them to tell me that they didnt have anyone to repair the refrigerator. LG then offered me a refund of $544 which I appreciated but it only covered a small amount of a replacement that I had to purchase at Home Depot.

Love how the light inside the fridge gets brighter

For the most part Im happy. The only issue I have is the design of the ice maker the agitator that spins to move the ice to dispense doesnt make good contact with the actual ice and therefore doesnt end up dispensing much ice. I constantly have to remove the tray to get any ice.

Most of my appliances and electronics are LG and Im usually happy with them. But this fridge only lasted 7 months and then no longer cooled. Since it is in a vacation rental I had to purchase another fridge immediately. This fridge is also on the list of their refrigerators that are in the lawsuit. Ive seen in responses to other reviews that LG requests a msg sent on twitter or FB which Ive done through facebook. Ill update this review once Ive heard back from them.

This refrigerator failed shortly after the warranty ran out 6 years. LG is good with producing products destined for the landfill in an inordinately short period of time. Impressive environmental ethic. It is not repairable as the refrigerant leaked out and the leak is not able to be found. They offered 15 percent off a new LG up to $500 dollars Their party line is like saying we crossed the warranty finish line so legally we have no obligation or interest in doing the right thing. I think their tag line should be LG lifes good but our products arent

My first LG fridge will probably also be my last

I bought this refrigerator several years ago but was not prepared for the inverter to die so fast Luckily the repair was covered under the warranty but the new inverter is loud. If I had originally bought something this loud it wouldnt have lasted 24 hours before being sent back. There humming noise is so loud that it sounds like something has broken. You can literally hear the buzz from other rooms. Before this repair I was happy with the unit but since the repair I cant wait for it to break again so that I am incentivized to buy a fridge from a different brand and return to having a quiet kitchen.

LG is willing to cover the repairs as it has a class action lawsuit filed. Getting through the process almost drive me over the edge. The extended warranty has on it 300 dollars for lost food. Was given 150 first then had to call back and argue with them. They said they would only put in for another 100. Refrigerator freezer went from not working to freezing milk in the refrigerator. Called back for them to just say turn it warmer. That is not fixing the problem. Was going out of town and they were wanting me to change my vacation so they could schedule an appointment. Not helpful at all.

Purchased the LSXS26326S September 2019. Up until 3 yrs + 1 month refrigerator worked fine was happy with the purchase until the curse of the LG linear compressor hit the fridge not longer was functional. I definitely expected better from LG.

Happy with fridge for the first 4 days and one half years. Compressor failed and we lost large amount of food. LG replaced compressor without a problem I requested compensation for lost food and awaiting a callback. Prompt and efficient service thus far. Service man did scratch hardwood floor moving unit.. Not sure how or where I should talk to about that problem.

FOOD REIMBURSEMENT AMOUNT

Bought this LG refrigerator because of the GREAT LG BRAND..have owned other LG PRODUCTS and all lived up to the expected performance...this LG refrigerator did also...because of an approaching storm in Florida we stocked up on food in refrig and freezer...were told to keep full and food would lat up to 48 hours if pwer went off...power off only for 11 hours..all food was fine ..lost nothing...6 days later refrig quit..called LG and ANTHONY LG REP was great..scheduled our service Tech...Cashmier LG TECH was great also...both said to call and give LG REP REFerence Number for food reimbursement check as the condenser had to be replaced...refrig only 4 years old..after several calls an LG Presidential Liaison left text message that said we were only due a courtesy check for $100.....were without refrig and freezer for 6 days...LOST EVERYTHING BECAUSE THE LG REFRIGERATORS CONDENSER WENT BAD AND HAD TO BE REPLACED...no fault of ours or any natural disaster..CHECK FOR $100 hardly covered any of our food loss....We are 89 and 80 yrs. old....really thought LG could reimburse us an adequate amount to replace our food/freezer loss due to their products defective condenser...thank you for affording us to respond with an HONEST REVIEW.....

terrible customer service

Bought this fridge 4 years ago. I no longer own it. The compressor died and your terrible customer support could not find anyone to replace it. I find that hard to believe considering I live in San Jose Ca. I did find a repairman but your customer support would not approve his cost. I got rid of it and bought a new fridge. I will never buy another LG product not with your customer support.

Buyer Beware

I learned the hard way I will absolutely NEVER purchase another LG product. I purchased this refrigerator less than 6 years ago from Costco and the compressor went out. It was out of the warranty period. I would think that an appliance would last longer than 6 years. I had trouble with the water dispenser after 3 years. This too was out of warranty At any rate LG is not for me

Disappointing malfunction after only a year of use

Weve owned this refrigerator for one year. Suddenly the freezer temperature would not stay at its setting. We thought it was just a glitch and waited to see if it would sell correct. It did not. We adjusted the temperature colder and it had no effect. Ice cream softened and nothing else stayed frozen. Hardly the ice maker portion worked correctly but the food could not be kept cold enough. Then the refrigerator side also failed to maintain its setting and despite turning the temperature down it did not keep the food cold enough. Process of going through warranty resolution has been difficult. Fortunately we bought it through Costco so there was an extended warranty that was applicable but there were no service people in our area so we were offered either a refund or a replacement neither of which is going smoothly at the moment. Customer service hes not integrated well and we have been in contact with three different Representatives all of whom required us to submit the same information in order to satisfy the warranty. You would think once would be enough. I had to buy another refrigerator in the meantime should be able to store our food because this one is going downhill fast. I have a sinking feeling because the new refrigerator is also an LG and Im half expecting it to go bad within a few years time.

Beautiful fridge and we love it when it works. Weve had this fridge for 6 years now. In that 6 years the compressor has broken three times. Each time the compressor only works for two years and then has to be replaced. We are waiting for the part to come in and have it fixed sometime soon but this time our warranty is no longer active. This fridge matches all our other appliances and we dont like French door fridges so were stuck with this thing. Buyer beware: if you want this unit get the extended warranty and be on the lookout for it to fail every 2 years.

Spacious and Incredible Functional

Our company bought this refrigerator about 6 years ago. The spacious design has adapted itself to work with over 20 coworkers. The spacious side compartments are great for small breakfast items and snacks. We recently needed the compressor replaced after 6 years which wasnt an issue as this LG has been working incredibly since then. We luckily still had warranty for the compressor and the repair. I put in a request for repair and an LG service partner was able to come out the NEXT DAY The compressor and the repair was of no cost since it was still under warranty. It allowed us to keep operations moving without any hiccups. It now works flawlessly and we know it will continue to do so for many years to come. Thanks for a reliable refrigerator LG.

Compressor issue

I bought this fridge 4 years ago had warranty for fridge for 5 years and compressor had warranty for 10 years unfortunately the compressor stopped working after 4 years but LG customer service after several calls and waiting for one week was able to find the tech who was very knowledgeable about the product fixed it.

I like this refrigerator. Have been purchasing the extended warranty. Icemakers are a favorite thing for me. Needed to replace it twice. Bought two LG Replacement water filter cartridges over a year ago. Lost the receipt. When I needed to them they were both defective. Since I lost the receipt LG wouldnt replace them.

I bought this 3 years ago and it stopped cooling. It is still under warranty and LG is in the process of getting it fixed. However they cannot find a service provider in my area. I have been without a refrigerator for over a week. Very disappointed.

ice maker noisy compressor failed

The ice maker is very noisy. It makes a very noticeable noise when in the process of dropping the ice in the reservoir. The compressor failed but it was replaced as it was in warranty. I did lose all of my frozen food.
